Question:
Answer:
How often should I get a massage?
A good rule of thumb is to get a massage once or up to two times per week depending on the circumstances if you want faster results..
Get a massage every other week if you want results but aren't in a hurry.
Once per month is good for maintenance. But as you get to know your body and how it responds to massage you'll know how often you need to receive massage to at least keep the status quo.
Always feel free to consult with your massage therapist on frequency and together you can find what works best for your health and wellness.
Pro tip: If you get more massages close together soon after noticing tension or injury you'll heal up much faster without needing massage for months.

There are several circumstances where massage may be contraindicated (not recommended or safe). Here are some examples:
- If you have a fever or are sick with a contagious illness, whether that be viral or a skin condition you should not get a massage (fungal infections, active warts, wounds, unidentified rashes).
- If you suffer from a blood clotting condition or have blood clots it is not safe to receive massage.
- If you have had surgery in the last six weeks check with your doctor is massage is appropriate.

Answer:
Can I use my HSA/FSA card to pay for a massage?
